Never realised until today haw much he hides and gets himself marked.

He's still got the technique and awareness of a centre half playing in the DM role. There were a couple of times where he received the ball with 5 yards of space around him but passed it back to the defender because that was the way he was facing. Someone like Rodri would have used that space to take a look at his options and progress the ball forwards.
