This was a WC we had no chance of winning. We should have used it as an opportunity to skip a generation (the failed so called golden generation). We should have blooded Barkley, Lallana and co properly - and whilst we have blooded a few young players Roy's obsession with Gerard and Rooney has undermined the opportunity. England need a radical rethink - we cannot keep stumbling along like this looking for quick fixes. We need a young strong appointment - someone with vision and guts.

The fault is how we have let out game be run......since the PL started its all been about money for the big clubs...fuck everybody else.......i think back to when N Korea turned Italy over in 66

Then italy was where the money was....Italian teams had six or seven foreign players...

After that defeat they put a limit on of four per club which allowed them to recover...

That folks is whete we are today..on fact we are in a worse position. We have clubs overloaded with foreigners all the way down the leagues.

You could kick every single foreign player out of every league and the only thing that will change is the premier league will be shit to watch. It has nothing to do with the number of foreign players it's all because the English players are just not good enough. English players are coached to be fast and strong while the rest of the world teach them technique. Limiting foreign players will do nothing at all. Until coaching young players improves England will always be shit.
