Like last night, you will see a South American side giving it everything for 90 mins, full of energy and technically very very good and a European side that cant keep the ball and blowing out of its arse after 15 mins.

You've not seen Uruguay play before have you?

Not a lot granted but I have seen us...........

They've got nothing other than their strikers. They play with nowhere near the intensity of Chile.

Like I said mate, I don't watch a lot of International football and cant say im overly arsed with the world cup either. England played ok the other night and I thought they where worth a draw and unlucky to get beat but yet again, we play a chosen few off the back of underserved reputations and tonight will be more of the same, with the same old results because of it.

Drop Rooney or play him in his right position and fuck Gerrard off who couldn't get past the half way line against Italy and maybe we might get the result we need.

I wont hold my breath.

A lot of people assume Uruguay will be shit again because they were shit last week. Doesn't always work that way though.

A draw.

Not always.

But we were shit last week and im assuming we will be shit again, cause we are shit.

...which is Pamspeak for 'he doesn't play for City'.
He is the most naturally talented player in the entire squad.
If for once you looked beyond your blind hatred, you would see that.
But I doubt you will, because if you lost the hate, I doubt there would be very much left.

Yep, anyone who doesn't see that there is some real real talent in Barkley mustn't watch football very closely.

Best player on the pitch when we went to Goodison this season. And that had little to do with his goal- he strolled through our midfield as if they weren't there.

Yes he is a match winner already, what was the score in our game there?

Seriously he has talent but needs to learn how to use it. Is this the game for that, I not sure.

In between two camps with him. Play him and see what happens or wait, someone already posted that he may be used as a desparate call with 20 mins to go.

Watching England reminds me of watching City some years ago, full of hope but you knew we were shit.

Not quite sure what the score against Everton has to do with Barkleys talent or performance in that game.

We were just incredibly professional and good as a team that day.

Individually Barkley shone. There are numerous instances when the best player will be on the losing team.

I'm not saying he's the finished article, by the way..

I just found the comment "Barkley is fucking overated folks. You'll see" particularly strange. Sounds almost angry.. "You'll see". Very odd indeed.

Don't understand why everyone assumes England looked great last week... we looked like amateurs to me. Everyone bombing forward without giving a thought to defending.

Sunday League stuff.

Heaven help us if the fat scouser manages a goal or even a half decent game, the press will be ramming it down our throats for the foreseeable future. Can't wait.

No offence mate but i think you probably just need to pick and choose who's posts you read

If there is one thing ive learn on bluemoon, its that there is a huge difference between watching football, and understanding it

Never has the expression term 'pissing in the win' been so apt than having to justify Barkley's talent to someone that clearly doesn't understand the game properly

It was progress from what we are used to seeing with England.

We are miles away from the top nations but if we can come out of this World Cup saying that the the future is bright with the likes of Sterling, Barkely etc.. I think it will be viewed as success.

The problem I thought England had against Italy was the lack of pressing, we allowed Pirlo to get space and pass through our midfield line and get their attackers in in our defence in pretty much one move.
