If rughead and Wellshite play we will get beat. Instead of rughead I would have Barkley. Instead of Wellshite I would play Milner on the left.

Depressing as fuck that I had to pick Wilshere, Johnson and Baines, but we have no alternatives. A midfield 2 involving Gerrard will always be caught short and despite the commonly held Bluemoon belief, I don't think Milner can play CM to an international standard. If we insist on Gerrard, then Milner has to come in on one of the wings to compensate

If he has to play Rooney then it's up top in his best position. No fucking Wellbeck and we should do enough
to win this. If he wants protection for Baines then he should use Milner on the left.

Big +1. What is Woys trepidation with this obvious move? That is would be deemed unfashionable? Jimmy would do a far better job than either Rooney or Wellbeck ffs.

TBF Welbeck wasn't that bad the other day. By no means the worst player on the pitch. I was annoyed he started, and there are better players, but he wasn't that bad.
