Not an England fan, but surely you'd have to play Rooney either up top on his own, where I think he is at his best, or in behind sturridge
Raheem Sterling is quick, but he isn't going to score many goals, and it's just daft to let him run at defences from deep central positions....it creates excitement, but just wastes possession. For me he's best as a late impact sub when teams are tired.
I'd narrowly expect an England win. A draw v Uruguay, and a win against Costa Rica would probably be enough to qualify as I think Italy and England will both comfortably beat Costa Rica. They worked very hard against Uruguay, but rode their luck, and Uruguay were very poor in that game......far worse than England
