Dier will be the first to admit hes not the most talented player going but he has a lot going for him. He learnt a lot growing up in Portugal, a much different training regime to the old gung ho English approach. He learnt a lot off the ball there, hence why hes good at finding space.
He pretty much can play right back, centre back or a holding midfield role. Hes done them all to a decent standard at Spurs. Hes partnered the likes of Vertonghen at the back and Dembele in front of the defence too. He can pretty much do everything to good standard and hes not afraid to get a bit dirty either. He has got a decent free kick on him too but you will never see that at Spurs because of Eriksen and hopefully Southgate doesn't give them to Kane either.
