To be fair we are playing quite well
Playing very well, actually. Deservedly ahead, but a second goal would make things considerably more relaxing. Gerrard a contender for the Man of the (half) Match. Running the midfield.

like lahm, but that is what Carrick has been selected for, he does not know where to be at the mo,an extra defender would be more use imo

agree.

hate to say it but if Shrek is fucked then i cant see sturridge or wellshit stepping up. Townsend playing well again i just hope he doesn't get English player disease off the strikers.

Usually with England players it's they play amazing for their clubs but shit for England but with Townsend it's the other way around.

except he has been in good form for spurs and is keeping some of their new expensive signings out of the starting 11 at the moment.
Hes an exciting player

England so awful it's tragic. After the Euros 2012 I thought there's no way England could look any worse.

Defensively they look weak, apart from Baines. Midfield continues to rely heavily upon an ageing Gerrard and Rooney still gets a spot by default. I'll get panned because he scored, but his goal scoring ratio is mediocre in reality. Despite the system evolved around him, he still fails to turn up when it matters. And the current system is borderline Stoke stuff. Hopelessly hoofed into the box in hope that someone gets on the end of it, all sounds very familiar.

And the roots are what I point the finger at, youth football. Even now i've seen the youth academys play. Their heroes are the likes of Gerrard, Rooney, Gascoigne etc.

Aggressively minded players. I watched Blackpool academy recently, just like every other academy. The kids couldn't pass for sh*t and they just swore at each other all game. English football failed to evolve and move forward, it's just like english football in the CL. Play 4-4-2 and you'll get bummed off the park. Our traditions have gone out of date, it happens to every country. Italy is another that's on it's last legs, yet they're not so stubborn to change.

So many problems and what goes on the field is just a taste of what goes on in all English football. Now it's come to this, celebrating draws against Ukraine and grinding out a win against Poland.

And if you don't like my opinion, arsed.

Lewandowski has been shocking today. At his best, he would have bagged one by now.
