A good manager would understand the stats and pick players to suit tactics that have a better chance of winning the game. Southgate neither understands stats or tactics and hopes that the team that the FA sponsors and media pick will pull something out of their arses.

Personally I would swap JWP out for Bellingham I rate the lad very highly and Jackie Boy on the other side

If Phillips is part of the squad, I’d drop him. You can have Bellingham as sort of a wild card. JWP gives a lot more than Phillips. Was also very evident today.
