If it’s true England’s fans were booing their own players when they took the knee today, I’d like to have seen the manager and players walk off. Why should they play for supporters who ‘support’ them like that?
The manager has already said repeatedly how committed he and the players are to doing it and how important it is to them.

It’s certainly true. You couldn’t miss hearing it. Can understand to some extent if some think it’s a bit of a futile gesture, and that more meaningful action is required to address the scourge of racism. But if you’re actually booing an anti-racist gesture by your own players, then it’s hard not to come to the conclusion that you’re a bit of a prick.

That would be the most generous interpretation of events ever.

Booing because the players are not anti-racist ENOUGH?!

HAHA! Good one!

You were right with your other possibility: PRICKS!!!

We go to football to escape the everyday realities of our lives.
With this in mind, I don't believe that political demonstrations have any place on our sports fields.
Remembrance Sunday is fine.
A silence/applause for the passing of a respected figure in the game is fine too.
'Taking the knee' doesn't set the right atmosphere for the match to be played in.
For me it is time this practise ceased, sports fields are for sport.
Not everyone will agree with me I know, but I exercise my right to free speech.

I think its safe to say you don't boo a futile gesture, you boo because you're a racist........ closet or otherwise

Checked the BBC news app last night to see the score and it told me "Rashford sends England to the Euros with a win."

It's changed today to "Rashford gives England win over Romania" but I did laugh at it. And they wonder why some fans like me struggle to get into international football.

Still think he should stick to school dinners though. Pretty clear that Shaw is the only United player who should be in the current squad on merit.

Have to agree both Rashford and Henderson shown why I am not 100% interested in the England team.

One , Rashford isnt good enough to be in the squad, let alone be captain. You get the feeling he is pick because of his of field 'work's.

Two, Henderson isnt an international standard player. The fact that he thinks he is Billy big bollocks by taking the ball of the designated penalty taker, than missing, is unforgivable. Should be kicked out of the squad.

It seems that waistcoat is taking two out of form left wingers , Sterling and Rashford. Foden has to be first choice. Take one as cover but not both.

Sterling is still giving it 100% effort and probably trying to hard where as Rashford looks like he's only giving 50% effect the other 50% is on diving and slamming his hands on the ground when he isnt awarded a free kick.

Still think you've got a hell of a chance of winning this, especially as you'll get to play all of your games at home.

Bullshit!
Bit more complicated than that.
Some probably are racist, but others are fed up with people taking the knee because a guy in America was murdered by a policeman, which essentially is what it’s about to them.
What exactly is the message?
What is the aim?
When are we going to know if it’s making a difference?
