Totally agree, but was Brooking not the man many years ago who was going to update English football from grass roots. Instead he is used now and again as PR propaganda with no discernible improvement in any level of national teams except maybe U21's who did well until getting battered in a final in recent years.

Capello is a top class manager, but England don't have a huge pool of players at his disposal. Even the likes of Ferguson and Mourinho, would find real difficulty to turn this team into world beaters.

First it was Capellos fault, then it was FA, sorry but the England team is just terrible. You cant polish a turd.
