My fave moment of the season until the last kick.

This game was my day in the sun and very surreal. I left the studio and had no one to celebrate with. I got to Heathrow and still had no one to talk footy with. My phone was dead and I flew back to Manchester and landed at the airport with no one to jump up and down with. Got home and turned my phone on and logged onto Bluemoon but the day passed me by in terms of being with fellow blues.

To be fair I wouldn't have changed it for the world.
Still suprised no Rags have tried to hit me one but I'm not complaining

I just had to add a slight correction to your post bluepaul, yes your right it is in trafford, but what you and others seem not be aware of is the shitpit is not old trafford but Dumpington.

Dumpington was the right turn off chester road down Warrick rd as you go towards stretford, and that area was leased to Salford by trafford as a rubbish tip for the years before they had to find a suitable home for yet more rubbish in the form of the red shite.
So trafford took it back, but the red shite did have to pay some rates to salford for many years.

I know you seemed slightly upset that there could be any connection between your home town and "Them", but look at it another way, they live on shit your grandparents threw out...............;0)

I remember a car with two rags in driving past me afterwards and when I clocked their shirts my Cheshire Cat grin changed to laughter. They turned round and threw an apple at me out of the window. Needless to say they missed.

What a day that was. Completely surreal. Remember being convinced they'd pull it back when Fletcher scored.

Having watched the extended highlights again it's amazing we didn't score more. I'd forgotten just how many chances we had. They really were lucky bastards.
