Am I right in thinking he would be more of a long term Gundo replacement than a Fernandinho replacement? Most of the stuff I've seen from him seems to be going forward.

I have enough reasons to remain extremely skeptical of this rumor. I know where it comes from and my strong suspicion is that the aggregator is being used in this instance

If we start playing with a midfield 2, then getting more box to box players would make sense.

Bring him in we need quality squad depth next season. No offense to the young lads but I'm sick of seeing Mbete, Egan Riley, Edozie etc on the bench they very rarely if ever come on (should go on loan)+ Steffen/Ferna their time has come to an end now that's 4-5 players on bench surplus to requirements.
