My mate is ST holder at Blackburn & he said the roar from our end that day was bone/chilling, also said it was the loudest he’d ever heard & there was City sat in every block of every stand. He gave up singing as it was the equivalent of shouting at a lion

To be honest, whilst being visually impressive, I like the passion it invokes after it with a few City City City chants, as you say can be used as a giant FU, maybe we should’ve done it when the PL jingle started against Villa
