I don't have a clue about this but I would be surprised if an extradition order can be raised for a civil case. Extradition is normally handled between courts in criminal cases. Would a civil court have the authority to raise an extradition order?

That you know of. They had your name, and access to your address. They could have put a tail on you or carried out covert vetting procedures and you could still have been none the wiser.

I cooked a banquet for both Prince Charles and Andrew in the 90s on a royal visit and none of the kitchen staff were vetted as far as I know, though we did need to submit our names weeks before, so we were probably looked up, but never told.
