Barça's second offer for Eric García: 8 million + 2 in variables. City are asking for 20 (previously 30)
City have ruled out interest in Rafinha as part of the operation due to midfield depth already

You can have him for a giant toblerone, deal?

Barca are playing with fire here, this kid is a star! They don't want RM coming in with a bid of 30m, I really don't know what they are waiting for, as a token of good will we are offering them one of our greatest talents and they are fiddling about! Just the other day I heard something about Juve offering 25m plus Bonucci but we told them Bonucci was too old, that's what I heard, I am not saying its true, just telling you guys what I heard. Top teams are in for this kid and I am surprised Barca hasn't capitalized on our good relationship with them to sign this kid up! Its crazy. What are they waiting for???

I remember when everyone was so up this kids arse and loved him lol oh how times have changed lol.

Yep, this forum is a highly tuned scientific instrument that accurately and flawlessly combines the best minds in world football to assesses a players current standard and future potential.
He's a kid who was thrown into the deep end, to play against vastly experienced men, and who was spoken about as a City youth in proudly glowing terms in here.
Both City and Barca, and their highly paid specialist staff, seriously rate the lad, but the moment this forum realised that he didn't want to renew, he turned to be a slow useless absolutely shite player who was never going to be good enough for us anyway, and ain't that a fact.

Barca should have had a sense of what he cost before this nonsense played out. It’s poor business from a club that seems only capable of poor business.

We should move him on nonetheless. Whether to Barca or find some other loan in Spain for a season or whatever. The days of having a player rot in the reserves are over and I wouldn’t support that at all.

As to his ability, we have turned too hard against him but it’s fair to say there are a lot of question marks. He’s got the right mentality in that he takes responsibility and he seems to care about defending which is sadly too often lacking. The size may prove fatal and he hasn’t been at his best since the news of a move came out but he’s young so maybe that can be expected. His cameo at RB really shook me. He was out of position but he looked like a player who would never make it to EDS in that spot and I wouldn’t expect a top class player to be so inept at playing a slightly different defensive position

I don't remember him having too much defending to do when he had the odd game here and there. He looked very comfortable on the ball (still does) and there was definitely a lot of promise there. I think what we have seen since he became a regular player in the side, is that he is good on the ball but he is small, slow, weak and positionally suspect. Not exactly great attributes for a CB.

I think he could do better in Spain than here but I don't think Barca are getting a superstar that in years to come, we will regret selling. I wish him all the best but I am not sorry to see him go and I think a fee of around £15m is very good business for us.

I’d literally take any deterioration in relationship with Barca and any financial hit just to laugh and say ‘get fucked’ if they offer us €8m. I’d say no board could be so deluded and lacking intelligence but we’ve all seen that in Barca’s case it’s true.
