Tbf he started Stones vs Wolves which I think is an indicator of where Garcia now is in the pecking order. He only played v Leicester because we had nobody else.

If he joins in January I suspect he won't be match fit unless we have a lot of injuries / Covid absences. Just can't see him playing in many games and it wouldn't surprise me if Pep kept him in limbo for three months.

Just wondering if we still have a cunning plan (not definitely maybe?). Deadline in Netherlands is today, Russia 17th, Portugal 25th, our own championship 16th - unless I've read it wrong. So we could still loan Eric out for a fee. I'm sure Eric would prefer a year playing in Portugal as opposed to occasional appearances on our bench and a few games in the EDS. No. My respect for Sane has increased , we got a very good fee considering his final year and the pandemic.

This is one of the main reasons why you will see many on here, not happy with Garcia.

I really hope Pep doesn't pick him for the match day squad unless we have injuries.

Do you know when Garcia notified City that he would not renew, did they tell him not to make it public, did they punish him for announcing it, you don't know so cannot assume he was being smug or just being honest about his situation. If Pep and the Senior Spanish team manager and Koemann think he is good he enough to play top level football that's good enough for me until I see otherwise. Many of the posters "not happy with Garcia" don't agree with this, many are outright knocking him because they are full of petty little conspiracies that he is only on the team because he is Spanish or connected to Barcelona, not a home grown lad or simply because they think they know more than these top managers. Also the "many" seem to be a few posters repeating the same stuff over and over again.
