Eric Garcia to Barcelona

If Garcia wasn't Catalan he'd be playing in the EDS.

Hopefully he goes in January
Xenophobic garbage. The sort of comment to be seen from Scouse schoolkids on a DM forum. It appears your desperation to prove how "right" you are has led you to be disrespectful to our player, our management team and our owners. To insinuate that they are as small minded in their decisions is a very poor reflection of your mindset or maybe you want to ingratiate yourself with the "Garcia out, Rodri out, Zinchenko out and more recently Cancelo out" clique.

The current policy with Barcelona appears to be buying very young players that can go straight into the team. It is probable that their team for El Classico could have 5 or 6 U-21's starting. Pedri, Fati and Dest are very young.
Maybe this youth policy may be the reason they are after Garcia.

Player put himself out there for a return, not club - no point repeating the same false narrative. It is true however that the there is a youth movement which is normal considering the longterm success of the core team over the last15 years

Pique's extension has nothing to do with Garcia, rather a financial shell game to redistribute the wage imbalance

He's got Denis Saurez and Brahim Diaz written all over him. A 'dream' move will result in bouncing around on loan for then 5 years until he finds his natural home of a mid-table team or on the bench of a good one
City may have well just saved him from that fate. For now at least.

He put himself out there after he was approached to put himself out there. Then was left hanging as barca would not back up their approach. City still trearing him way better than barca.

We are so lucky on BM to have Barca's Head of PR and Propaganda to keep us fully up to date with the inside information on anything and everything connected with the club.

Personal knowledge of the thoughts of every former player, current player, future player are relayed with complete impunity and impartiality for our enjoyment and interest.

And the beauty is that you manage to provide all of the above without a hint of arrogance or delusion. Well done .

What is everyone’s fascination with Garcia, he is slow, offers little in attack with his sideways passing, wants to go to Barca and all the time eroded City moral by having Pep favour him .

I don't know what the fascination is, to me he is just another player. If you have a long time to spare read the 423 pages of posts, if you haven't done so already, they are what fascinate me. The level of prejudice and vitriol of a clique of posters shows a mindset that has little to do with the player and is an embarrassment to the club I've been a fan of for over 55 years. Woe betide any fair minded poster to go against the narrative. Echoes of Scouse "fans" when Sterling was coming to City, raw xenophobia and infantile arguments. You say he is slow, he is a centre back, very few are particularly fast that's why they struggle against forwards who generally since football began are faster. You posted at 1.02 pm as City played West Ham, yes he passed sideways, backwards and forwards, often, re-watch the game, don't take my word. Dias's poor pass forward v Porto set up their goal, but it was the other defender's who got roasted here for not clearing up the mess. He wants to go to Barca, back to his childhood club, is that a crime, every player we have has a time limited contract, none have signed up for life, so what, if they fulfill their contractual duties to the club's satisfaction (not ours) there is no reason to smear them as traitors or greedy or worse as some have.
I presume you meant morale not moral, have you evidence of this, a quote maybe, an interview with a player whose morale has been eroded. Pep has won what he has won by selecting the players he believes will achieve the best result for City, we may all disagree with his choices at times, usually he gets it right, count the trophies. You use the phrase "by having Pep favour him", that sounds like an infant whining about "teacher's pet", do you not have enough respect for Pep to even consider the possibility that he "favours" what he considers the best 11, in his opinion, for each game according to who is available, fit, on form and all the other parameters to be considered when selecting a professional team.
