Eric Garcia to Barcelona

Nice try

Garcia was overvalued, his market value can be traced last summer and it never exceeded 10M - it only went up when Messi failed to be allowed to leave

Meanwhile, what value is there for the Goat even in the last 6 months of his contract? But as I have said before, it's juvenile to compare a 19 year old player who is 5th in the depth chart to the greatest player of all time that is crucial to his club

He was only overvalued from a barca perspective. Not a city perspective
Life isnt a computer game where players have a value set by a formula and transfers are agreed at that value.
Transfers happen when all sides agree.

Garcias transfer didnt happen for 3 reasons:
- barca were reluctant for the headlines for having to pay for a former youth player to return (especially so soon and so young)
- city valued garcia at a value and wouldnt budge
- barca couldnt afford a transfer at the value we wanted

A selling club does not have to sell. To say otherwise is madness and shows a clear entitlement problem that is inevitable when supporting a team dominant for so long.

From any perspective, you're letting your City tinted glasses get in the way of actual market value

This is the problem. You are letting your barca glasses get in your way.

There is no such thing as “actual market value”!! Thats naive

There is only a value that 2 clubs can agree to deal at. If they don’t agree it is a difference of OPINION not a lack of appreciation of facts

Market value is what it is, I only pointed out that from a Barca tinted view they would never even meet that valuation. Problem is City had overvalued him to begin with above & beyond his market value

I acknowledge my tinted glasses when it comes to buying back one of our own, you fail to acknowledge City overvalued him to begin with - likely by design

If anything Garcia is undervalued. According to you he is going to be a top CB. He is training with Pep at a world class club and has been giving first team opportunities.

If he had not screwed city and was now on a 5 year contract I would expect his value to be around the £40 million mark.

Barcelona have made sure we get no fee and we will do the same for messi.

City are in a far better financial and sporting position than Barca. Messi would add prestige but if we don’t get him we will go and buy what’s needed to compete.

Barcelona are broke and will not be able to buy. They will go down the road united have been forced to by choosing youth and telling anyone that listens that it is the right way but in reality it is the only option because you have got into so much debt and bought poorly.

We have seen this many times in the past. You are no different to the Trafford buccaneers. They have olie and the academy and you have koeman and the academy. The only real difference is that you have messi and yet still managed to fuck it up.

Oh fuck off. He was a regular for one of the best teams in the world last season, Pep loves him for some reason and a full Spanish international at 19. £18m was an undervaluation if anything. Compare him to Kounde, Upamecano, Konate etc and you would be talking of 50m+. Your club is falling apart. Over 700m in debt, shit coach, shit squad and Messi is being held hostage and as soon he gets out your sponsor deals, kit sales etc will drop massively. You’re absolutely fucked

FC Barca.

I’ve read all your posts.(shook my head, and laughed)

I haven’t commented on you yet.

But, I have to be honest, you‘re a deluded.....(fill in as appropriate)

As for Barcelona, I have no axe to grind with the club.

But, Barcelona have been falling apart off and on the pitch for a long time. When Messi, Mr Barcelona, the clubs talisman, leaves next year, Barcelona will be f***ed! Kid yourself as much as you want, but deep down you know that’s the truth.

So if City wanted to buy Garcia from Barcelona, would you be happy with a £19mill offer, because that’s what Barcelona offered City, apparently?

I’ll answer that question for you in 3 words.

Would you f***!
