Agreed, signing the most sought after player in the world is extremely hard, they wouldn't be if it wasn't!!! My point is that it is possible to "sell" the idea of things other than simply success.... after all no one in England could compete with Celtic if that wasn't the case!!!

I think striker role is over rated anyway, City don't have striker yet no club scored more goals in England so far this season than City.

It is extremely overrated and I feel a player like haaland is an extremely limited player and won’t make us much better as a team.

Only Inter and bayern play with a pure 9 there other teams there play with smart forwards that are able to interchange and can dribble with the ball.

I think we need a new forward though but I personally don’t want those haaland and vlahovic types. I would prefer a good footballer with Gabi Jesus or Jota profile .that is they can play across the front line, can head the ball and is a good finisher.
 
Well if Torres thinks and said that then the rest of the squad must know who is coming in.

They said he felt as though they would. Wouldn’t you though with all the drama the media were causing over City and Kane last season in addition to there being no solid striker for the team.

I don’t think there is a single member of that team/fan who don’t feel the same way about a solid striker incoming before the start of next season.

also, we are about to sign one. in the summer. at least that's what we want. that's it, not much more to it.
 
I might be missing something obvious, but how can we hold formal talks with Raiola in January if we don’t have permission from Dortmund (i.e. a deal in principle agreed)?

I know unofficial talks happen behind the scenes without selling clubs’ permission, but this seems very formal?
 
If it’s true that xavi has told Torres he will be the main man at Barca then that must mean Barca are out of the running for Haaland
