Erling Haaland

You're asking the wrong person. We have a team employed for that, hopefully, they are chasing the right horse.
Fair enough

But the list of obvious candidates is pretty short so the other choice to go for a hidden gem from somewhere...

Hence why people are coming out with comments "pay whatever it takes" - There is no gurantee of success as you say but if there is quality there (and Haaland ticks that box) you can understand why people may wanting this course of action - and there will be competition for him so we will have to if he is our choice

We need a player that suits our style of play

parachuting a player like Haaland into our team will not solve our problems unless there is a drastic change in the way we play

every team in the league now sits 10 men behind the ball and double up on our forwards

Haaland would have no space in behind and he’s not nimble enough on the turn to break a low block

he’s not that good in the air either for a big man which means crossing would have limited impact

personally I would advocate a change in style but our manager is wedded to the current set up

you can see why he doesn’t change because of the spectacular results but for some reason the team have stopped moving the ball at pace and running off the ball to create space

they look to be scared of taking risks as they may lose possession and control but this has stifled our creativity

if a player like sterling can score 30 goals in our system then we just need a competent striker that can slot into the way we play , not someone who will require a change

get the quick pass and move back and we will be flying again, Pep’s job is to get us playing without fear
Id love a clone of Kun but thats pretty impossible.....Kun under Pep at 22-23 years old would have been phenomenal

Different expectations and styles. We need a world class striker. Only the elite are good enough when you’re coming up against a parked bus. Done well for himself though that’s for sure.
We encourage the parked bus, that isnt an issue with our striker.

If a 22 year old Kun was available he'd be a hundred million pound player and half the thread would be people arguing that he's too expensive, it's not time to break the bank, "United style recruitment", etc.
