You may well be correct, if we keep hold of Bernardo all will be good, but if he was to leave, I think we have had a very disappointing window.
Yes as I said in another thread, Unfortunately Bernardo seemed to be waving goodbye to the fans as he was taken off. Unlike Spurs we won't keep a player who definitely wants to go.
I think Pep has been trying to persuade him to stay. On paper we would be weaker after the transfer window if Bernardo goes, because although we would have Grealish in for Bernardo, we have let Sergio leave without a replacement, and Mendy has left us a left back down. No wonder Pep looks and sounds under stress!

Good for you bud. I'd start preparing for disappointment.

I am at peace with no more business. From what I can see, Pep is too. I can't see anything to suggest it will end any other way. Full support behind Torres Jesus and Delap now. And Zinchy if course.
Me too, the more I think about it, we are done, and I’m comfortable with it too based on what I’ve seen on the pitch. There will be the odd game we miss a striker, probably c/l knockouts, I alright with that.
Here’s a question though, assuming we have a good season finish top scorers again, and Torres gets 20 ish goals, and starts to look the part with Delap showing promise too. What do we do next summer ,would we disrupt that progress by spending big on Haaland ? Which would probably mean dropping Torres Delap, and Jesus down the pecking order.

Yes we do. In my book. All hypothetical of course but If that were to happen we would still need a 'true' striker, and a world class player is always good.

Jesus will have a year left on his deal, and will likely be sold next season, if he doesn't kick off this season and renew. There will be takres, his price will be affordable And decent return for the club.

Torres would be comfortable enough after a good season not to be inder threat, and Delap will be young enough to still keep developing.

Lets hope for a season like that and a recisit if this discussion next summer.
