Erling Haaland

May not have to get into a bidding war, if he has a heart for City.

There's a better clip than that, the one where he comes out of the tunnel where the camera pans on him to look overawed by the occasion (of being where it's at). And not far from where he was sat as as a spawny eyed lanky kid sat with his father and younger brother.

If City mean anything to him now as an adult like we meant to him as a kid then he's gotta sign for us. And Raiola will have fuck all say in the matter, for what it's worth!

City is where it's at right now young Erling, do the right thing and come to sign for the proper Manchester club because - 'once a blue always a blue'.

Do the right thing because you'll only get the one chance, do it and do it for the blue or you may live to regret it...

I wish people take the 825k/week figure with a pinch of salt. Messi is on 650k/week and he was on a free. Haaland is not going to ask that money, even Raiola won't. His wages more likely will be around the 350k more I would guess or a bit more. Nothing like the figures being quoted.

It's not really about Raiola here, it's on City to be aggressive in getting Haaland. That's the major doubt. Outside of that, we tick every box for what Alf mentioned years ago as what he'd want to see for Erling's future club. I'm on the fence about the whole thing because part of me feels there's no way City fail to sign superstar but then again nothing surprises me anymore.

People do know that Haaland has a say in where he goes right?
His agent will no doubt push him towards the money, but if he goes “nah I WANT to go somewhere else” then he will money isn’t always the be all and end all for everyone. And players don’t always do what the agent demand of them.
PS I’m not saying he’s nailed on to come here, just that there’s a chance a football players choice goes beyond money

Absolutely agree . And if City are interested we(they) need to move heaven and earth to sign him.

When Haaland matures fully he will be a real handful in the box, more so than he is now. His presence will cause chaos in having defenders all over the place and will allow our other players in the box to go almost unnoticed.

I'm so glad we didn't sign Kane, even if we don't sign Haaland. Great player Kane is but he is a bit too Rodney Trotter dismantling a chandelier like for me, in other words, a big carthorse.

A lot of groundwork would have been done by all the teams who could buy him already

The decision is now down to Haaland and where he wants to go

Hope we have ticked all the lads boxes as he is an animal of a player who will only improve

Qestion we may have to prepare for is who do we target if Haaland goes elsewhere

I dont want us back in for Kane, come and gone that scenario for me.

We will have the young Brazilian forward Kayky arriving earlier than was originally agreed, i have read he will go straight into the eds and not loaned out. So if he hits the ground running he could be an option next summer even though he is still young

Then another forward may start hitting the headlines by the time next summer arrives
