Erling Haaland

I think PSG might buy Richarlison to replace Mbappe, he's very highly rated by his Brazil teammates, inc Neymar who he has a good partnership in the national side. Plus he's the kind of hard working forward they'll need to offset the other 2 and would get 20+ a season for PSG.

Linked heavily last year.

I think Paris will buy Sterling if Barca don't come up with the pennies.

They are in desperate need of a CM and a CB too. If you assume Mbappe and Pogba are nailed on, that's already colossal wages that will probably match all those departures or get close to it. I doubt that they will prioritize a second striker over a proper CB purchase, particularly if they cant sell Hazard which I think they probably won't be able to outside of a deal where they get hosed. Mino might want it, but that wage increase is astronomical, even with departures.

It will always be about the optics for a club like Madrid.

With the stadium renovation also, they are desperate to remind their fans and the world that they are still relevant, especially after the Super League fiasco.

Best way to insure themselves is to go big or fade into the shadows for a few years.

Since Perez pulled the plug on Bale going to China because the Jiangsu Suning wouldn't pay a fee on top of taking his wages off their books, he has played 23 times for Real Madrid, scored 4 goals and been paid approx £78,000,000 in wages.

Haha - no wonder he could afford to build that nine-hole golf course in his garden in Madrid.

And Madrid have avoiding paying even money on top of those figures, as Spurs were paying £250k a week last season towards his £650k a week.

I cannot see Haaland ending up here. I would love i but cannot see Txiki getting on his knees front of Raiola and do the needful.

fucking hell, all he does is train and play for wales

That's the worry. To be fair, they are well within their rights, as are Dortmund to at least insist they aren't open to offers in Jan.

I suspect the truth is that when Haaland pushes the button, everything else will fall into place.

Am I being dim here (probably) in thinking that Dortmund have no choice if the clause kicks in during January and not next Summer?

Doesn’t seem to be any evidence it does kick in, in January just that one report last summer which seemed a bit of a guess. Think we would know for sure by now if it did.
