Erling Haaland

It's not so much how much the quote is, depends who comes out top in the bidding war I think. That said, Erling has a choice of who he fancies joining. I hope we are in for him and he wants to sign for us whatever the price. I think it will take at least 120M to get him.
If we said 70mil in summer, and remove Sancho's 15% sell-on clause, and maaaaaybe sweeten the deal with Braaf, they could go for it.

If city rang his agent now how much do you reckon he would say it would cost us?

Just think now if we had the lad how much more of chance we would have at winning the lot?
How much that would bring the club.

Dortmund were holding out for €120m for Sancho in the summer.

Haaland's going to be even hotter property, so you'd think it's going to have to be £120m+. Wouldn't be surprised if it's Mbappe level money.

There is talk he has a €75m clause which activates in 2022, so if Dortmund are wanting to retain max value for him (and the clause is actually true), he's going this summer.

I think this is one of those signings that should be money no object for us. We're yet to blast past the £100m mark, but I can't think of a more suited/needed player. He's the real deal and we'll regret not signing him if we let him get away.

Not at all, he’s an incarnation of a young Alan shearer

I don't see that comparison at all. Even Vardy is a far off comparison

Raiola compares Haaland favorably to Ibra at a similar age although I have to say I don't recall Zlatan at that age when he was at Ajax. But Mino would know

He strikes me as a clinical poacher more than a bonafide goalscorer - I don't see him creating goals out of nothing for example like Zlatan could/does. Creative, great at pressing and creating space for himself with his movement and use of his body - he simply finishes the chances he gets and that's tremendous on its own. Although his all around game continues to develop which will make him an even greater striker

A lot of his goals come off the back of his pace, just like Aubameyang at Dortmund. Though Haaland is a better finisher and built like a bezerker rather than a stick figure.

Yeah, heading ability has nothing to do with height really. Just that tall people have a head start, but heading starts in the soles of the boots and is all about what you do in each joint in the movement before heading it.

You could be 5’7” and be the best headerer (headerer?haha) in the world if your technique is good.
Agreed and it’s amazing how much use is made of the stomach muscles in being a good header.

Another advantage of choosing City over either of the teams in red, is he will be on penalties.

Can’t see Fernandes/ Salah wanting their stats to suffer by not being on them. The former especially would lose a lot of his hype.

C’mon Haaland play for the club your father did!!

When we played our best football, we'd obviously play around their box, but a lot of attacks were on the counter. If we soak up pressure and break at pace, we'd score a load but also have another dimension to our attack. Even if teams refused to attack us (which is where his poaching & physicality would help), Champions League games are pretty open. He'd 100% get goals for us.
