I hope too, but I don't think it is particularly obscene either.

We reportedly paid 18m in similar additional fees for Mangala. If you beleive the reports. Mangala mate. And that was in that market, years ago. We pay some chunky extra fees quite often. Despite the headlines that it would he forced to make, it really wouldn't be that significantly different from regular business. Bigger amounts, yes. Bigger profile and potential, in a more.valued position.

They still have those financials from the Messi extension that they never finalised, they can use them.

It was clearly meant as a joke.

I do however think that it is a bit crass to just instantly write off any and every club though. Saying Barcelona have no chance, because 'they haven't got a pot to piss in', or Real 'can't bring in more than one top player' etc etc is the equivalent of declaring we have no chance because 'we just don't do bug transfers and never break our wage structure'.

That doesn't mean I think he will end up at Barcelona, or even Real btw.

Madrid I can see, reading the details of the finances and the pending CVC deal even for Barca its a stretch, club is such a mess. I'd put them bottom tier of possibilities as it stands.

They are trying to get the deal done in January apparently, they've agreed everything with Adeyemi just need to agree a fee with Salzburg. Dortmund willing to pay 40 mil but Salzburg want 50.
