Erling Haaland

We are in a decent position but we won't wait.
It’s not the first time you say this. What is it supposed to mean? Do you think that unless Raiola agrees to something in January (even if for the summer), we won’t wait and sign someone in January? Because unless that is case, I can’t for the life of me see why we would need any assurances in January if we’re only going to do business in the summer anyway.

We assume Haaland wants us....we dont know that...

He could well see a move to Madrid as better than a move to us....or a move to chelsea for instance...or even Liverpool if one of their front 3 goes (and he fits in their system as well)

I want Haaland as much as anyone but we dont know what he wants....we also dont know what other clubs are willing to offer and their is history that other clubs WILL offer more than we will and if we dont get him THAT will be the reason
I am certain Real Madrid are not in for him unless their pursuit of Mbappe is off.

All the major clubs are aware of who wants who and will not start a bidding war, no club is in any financial position to do that, including us.

If the covid situation causes the league to be shutdown or we go back to games to be played behind closed doors, the market will tank even further.

We fear he favours Real Madrid and have for a while. Not to preclude a deal, but City recognise Haaland is a special talent and have made allowances for the fact he is wanted by all the top teams.

If Haaland gives his word in January, we will stick with what we have until the summer, otherwise there is an increasing mood behind the scenes that we should walk and move immediately to our next target.

If nothing else, but to reinforce our position in this season, using the Torres sale as a further justification.

Giving his word means signing anything? The quote by Dortmund’s CEO that they would be talking in the coming weeks gives me the impression that January is a real possibility.

Let’s assume Ferran goes and we can’t get anything done in January. It’s back to square one I would think

I think we want a commitment now for the summer, if he doesn't commit I guess we feel they are looking to draw us into an auction we don't want with a chance of missing out. I think we believe our alternative will go this window. So unless we get a commitment we may well go for Vlahovic and not risk missing out on both and be sctraching around late summer for a plan C.

At least he has put to bed the notion we or anyone else has an agreement in place.

It's not even near, but more will hopefully become clearer next month.

Mino is doing his job, don't see why people are having a pop? Alfie and Erling trust him to deliver, as he has done for pretty much all of his clients down the years.

People wanting to blame Mino are the same people who wanted to blame Toure's agent, when he was in actual fact saying what he wanted him to.

We are in a decent position but we won't wait.
People are having a pop because of what he does, and the INSANE amount of money he gets for doing it....more money in a year than your average football fan will see in 10 lifetimes let alone one.
The amount of money that people like him receive is an utter disgrace...he is a leach of a man, and very disengenuous when Ive heard him speak..He seems to believe he is an authority on football and the way he speaks about people is also an utter disgrace. Yet someone like him has so much money and still goes out for bigger and bigger paydays...He is not just a leach on football but on the whole of human society as well

yes there are worse people in this world ..in politics and in various other big businesses and professions but he is extremely public in what he does...so if he is going to stick his head above the parrapit, and be an absolute c**t of a human being then he deserves every drop of bile aimed at him

Not that it will make the slightest difference to him.

Madrid could easily go for both Mbappe and Haaland..they have the money to do so and are reknowned for a team full of Galactico's

He wont come in January....no matter what

Deals this size dont happen in January

They could but they also need players in other positions, they need to rebuild and they still have to be careful with their spend.
