As he was born in Leeds he could have dual nationality. Where would that leave him? Presumably if he took out dual nationality he wouldn't be subject to any limit on none British players if Brexit resulted in changes to who was an overseas player.

He just creeps in before some rule changes by being born July 2000 according to this ... https://www.gov.uk/check-british-ci...-uk-between-1-january-1983-and-1-october-2000. I suppose it rests on whether it is considered his father was "working" here at the time of his birth or if the nature of player contracts in football changes that status.

However according to TransferMarkt they have him down as having dual citizenship ... https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/erling-haaland/profil/spieler/418560
