Great signing, and as long as the ball frequently ends up in the net, which it will....I couldn't give a fuck what he costs, what his wages are,or who represents him.

This lad is the signing many have preached our club never makes.

This transfer will gut every top team in Eurooe.Beautiful!
And gut a few posters on here no doubt.

Obviously no one can read his mind, but Guillem Balague and others who have credibility in transfer gossip have said Madrid has always been his number one choice, but that we might have an advantage since they look like Mbappe is their main target. Although that seems to have changed in the last couple of days now that PSG made a new offer and he might stay.

Raiola hasn't done anything wrong per se, but he likes his players to move every couple of years to maximise on agent fees. Balague said City's pitch was ""The way City approached it was also to say 'you're very young, have a few years here and then you can have Real Madrid in the future'.

De Bruyne is on 350/400k. All the reports are Haaland would get 500-600k.
So you based everything on Spanish sources. You’re a fool!

There is no credible source claiming he has a preference of playing in Spain, however, the Spanish media repeats this so much that I can’t fault you for believing it after awhile. Papers in Barcelona and in Madrid love to portray that every player in the world couldn’t possibly refuse them, and if it doesn’t pan out, it’s because of external factors. They do it every season multiple times, an industry of rumors made to appease the fan’s egos.
Do you think he’d rather go to Real Madrid and be second to Benzema, Mbappe (by the way, you also shouldn’t believe the rumors that he “might stay at PSG”. It’s just noise) and maybe even Vinicius Junior or come and take over as the poster boy for the strongest league in the world? What seems more appealing?
It’s also a myth that Raiola wants his players moving around. I encourage you to google his clients and see the reality. Agents will make just as much money having players being successful staying at one wealthy club.
Overall, you shouldn’t believe every single rumor like it seems you have been doing. Wage numbers and “this was City’s pitch” included.

No question around Haaland's quality or that he'd improve the squad, but anyone else not a get good vibe from this whole transfer saga?

Don't like the fact we'd break our wage structure to land him. Don't think he should be on more than KDB for example. Could cause harmony issues in the squad and seems like Madrid is his preferred destination anyway. Our best players in the modern era — KDB, David Silva, Aguero, Kompany etc — have spent the majority of their career at the top with us. Whereas, even if he did join it looks like it would be for 3 seasons and then seek a move to Madrid/Barcelona.

I'd rather we find another top young forward who a) doesn't have Raiola as an agent, and b) doesn't have a massive ego asking for 500k+/week.
Where do you people get his wage demands from.
Pure speculation and I very much doubt he will be earning one penny more than our top wage earner.

Guillem Ballache has no credibility in transfer gossip! Jfc

Don't know why fans get so worked up about which player earns more than another. They will all be paid a salary that the board feels reflects their talent and worth to the team

No-one know's, yet, what his wages are and I would guess they will be structured so he gets more each season he's here and has proved himself in the PL.

The word from TH is that he's signing for 6 years.

We bought Julian Alvarez in January, one of the best young strikers in Argentina.
