Erling Haaland

Wouldn't be surprised if we went for none of the discussed strikers. We won the title and at least one knockout competition playing a false 9. Pep obviously rates the tactic and could prefer to bring in a class number 10. Or possibly another wide player that has left and right options.

Dortmund arguably have three Assets.
They’ve also got young Bellingham although I’m not sure what age he is ?
Would say they have even more than that

Haaland, Sancho and possibly the 16 no 17 year old Bellingham are mega mega starts

But Reyna, Knauff, Reiner are all good prospects and the next wondered Moukoko

IMO this is getting things completely the wrong way round.

What Pep managed to pull off this season is incredible precisely because this side is fatally flawed by the lack of a striker.

This might end up our most successful year on paper, but the reality is we've not been great. The quality of our football compared to 2018 and 2019 is miles off.

What are we, 35 goals down on a good season? Drawn and lost 10 games? So many of our wins are by 1 goal, real nail biting finishes.

It's a triumph of Guardiola's ability to adapt and overcome problems that he's managed his way around it, but the answer is not to make that disadvantage permanent...it's to fix the problem. Get a striker. Score 100+ goals in the league and stop needing to rely on the defence playing out of their skin.

One thing you can count on is that Haaland (at 20!!) will score in these important games. He almost always does, a big game player. Whereas Kane, for instance, seems to go missing the more important the game is sometimes

His physical attributes allow him to turn a shit, nothing ball into a goal here.

Pretty much any other striker is not scoring from there, because they don't have the speed and strength to just change direction straight at Upamecano and just shrug him off.

100% agree! I sincerely hope this is also how our board see it.

Haaland went missing in both games against us.
But otherwise yes, he turns up when he needs to. And when he doesn’t need to. He will be a fantastic striker for us. Except for the insane money we need to pay apparently.
