Erling Haaland

They are also pushing the narrative of they had competition for Werner and Havertz and beat all the teams to them, even though Werner wanted Liverpool but they couldnt afford him and no one really went head to head for havertz due to price tag
Yeah they pretty much outbid everyone interested for those 2 as they couldn't spend the summer before and had a bit of spending freedom after that and selling Hazard. Much like the dippers after their spree though, they're now going to have to spend the next few seasons working those signings through the books and for Haaland they're going to be up against clubs with far deeper pockets (by about €100m a season or €600m over the length of a 6 year contract in our case).

To me, he has “Real Madrid, Benzema replacement” written all over him.

I’d LOVE to know what Pep REALLY thinks of him, his mobility, and his link up play...and, perhaps, just as importantly, who the clubs alternatives may be.

Personally, I’d love for us to pluck some 18-21 year old out of South America and “raise him” as a City player to team up with Jesus and maybe nurture Delap to be that big striker.

It’s going to be an interesting CL QF, and summer beyond!

I live in Brazil and also watch a lot of football from Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and other neighboring countries. This player you dream of doesn’t exist— there is no player of the promise of a Jesus in the Brazilian league right now in that age range. The last one with some potential (Everton) went to Benfica and isn’t doing so well there.

Thanks for the “local knowledge.”

Who knows, maybe the lad is here in the European game and he just hasn’t popped yet? That’s what scouts get paid for, after all!

If we are getting two strikers, I’m all for taking a gamble on the second one. But the “Aguero replacement” has to be a recognizable proven name, if anything to honor who we’re replacing

Not a striker but what do you think of Almada at Velez Sarsfield? Heard he's good but haven't had a chance to see a match he's played in.

I have a couple of Chelsea mates, they are getting very giddy regards this kid.....why the sudden confidence??
KGB still big in Norway...

If he goes to that shower I’d be questioning his football intelligence and by default wouldn’t want him...

There’s 3 destinations and we are top of the list, however, all it takes is money in a pizza box and the shit could hit the fan... his dad is the key, and from what is being touted, he wants him here!

Yeah that's what I read and heard from a few people. Raiola actually wants him at Madrid, but Alfie has a great relationship with the Man City board, and he wants Erling here. I don't know whether we are Erling's favourite choice though, but it looks like Alfie may be doing us some big favours!

The last two Velez matches I saw weren’t good for them (a 7-1 defeat to Boca Juniors earlier this month and a 3-0 defeat to Lanus in January) and he didn’t impress me at all. But I see he’s 19 still, so a lot to improve and grow
