Its all to do with champions league apparently if Dortmund get champions league they want 120 million euros , if they dont get champions league they will sell for that cut price due to the release clause next summer.

Why would their losing out on CL money motivate them to also take less money in a deal for their best player? If they can get 120 million they’d take it either way

Lots of accounts in the media that Haaland will push for a move if they fail to qualify for CL. That brings loyalty bonuses into play as well as giving them potentially an unhappy player to deal with if they don't agree a deal. Both of those can lower the price.

Chelsea and Madrid more often than not land their targets. We have walked away from many a deal but those two very rarely even know how to do that.

If Chelsea get Champions League football, they'll no doubt go balls deep in the race for Haaland
