I think we are in a much stronger financial position relative to FFP and our opponents than in 2012 for example when everyone wanted Hazard, or even in 2016 when the bidding war was for Pogba.

Yeah, I think it's well known by now that Erling takes Alfie's word as gospel. Alfie has perfectly shaped his career and life to this point, and he deserves all the credit for the same. This is why having Alfie vouch for us is perfect, and why most premier league clubs have resigned to the fact that he is joining City.

Plus, he's quite literally a City fan. He attended the 2014 League Cup final.
