Erling Haaland

Here is a question. If Haaland didn't have a release clause next summer, would clubs be keener to push to pay the asking price for him this summer? Thoughts?
Maybe, reports suggest (could be bollocks) dortmund want £150m, then Riola wants £20m, Alf wants £20m, then there’s £400k a week in wages, though Riola said the last part was fake.
If those figures are correct that’s a total of £290m
Next year that’s £210m
Still sounds expensive, but Kane will be £225m (£150m plus wages)
We sign Kane, Chelsea sign Lukaku and then it’ll be between the rags and German rags who gets him.

The release clause means nothing. All it will do is set off an auction that will lead to a similarly extortionate fee and wages.

As mentioned earlier, City will get Kane, Chelsea will get Lukaku. Unless Real Madrid win the Euromillions jackpot a couple of times in the interim, that leaves Bayern and the rags the most likely bidders for Haaland next summer. I would expect the rags to make contact with Raiola & co around the January window and go all out for him next summer.

In my view, City and/or Chelsea will only enter an auction for Haaland if either or both Kane and Lukaku flop badly, or suffer long term injuries.

In a nutshell, I don't see City being drawn into a crazy auction for Haaland.

Imagine how much you would hate the German rags if you were a Dortmund fan.
People give us and chelsea stick but that lot literally bullies the domestic competition out of their best talents for pennies then claim pride in the fact they got them on the cheap.

Honestly fine with this happening. It's been pretty clear that we're not getting him for a while, so as long as he stays the fuck out of the Premier League then I'm cool with it. I'll tell you what, though - if he goes to Bayern and with the GOAT going to Paris, then if we do win the Champion's League we'll have been done it against some real worthy competition.

I think one of these ITK tossers on twitter should put it about, at the appropriate time, that we are interested - just in the spirit of healthy competion, you understand.

Have been talking about Bayern and Haaland since a few weeks. The way Haaland hasn't been linked/no one has tried to sign him this season, pointed to him probably having an agreement/made up his mind for next year. With them needing to replace Lewa next year probably, Haaland makes a lot of sense. My only doubt is the Raiola fee. However if Haaland is bent upon Bayern, Raiola can't do shit. Bayern linked players do end up signing for them more often than not.

Pretty convenient for Bayern if they do sign Haaland. Pick a striker from Dortmund and then replace him with another from them when the first one retires.

Dortmund are basically Bayern’s academy.
