Well I said that a big lump like Yaya could play in our side from deep midfield and that I thought that position would suit Haaland because of his similar physical attributes (also said he’d want to play striker).
You then come back telling me how Yaya could play in our team (which is what I’d already said) so I pointed to the fact that a big lump like Yaya was the wrong shape to play striker in the same way that Yaya was.
I come on here to read opinions, learn a bit and give mine in exchange but you’re coming at me in a way that strongly suggests you’re one of those who must have the last word to keep their pride intact.

This isn't aimed at you but calling Yaya a big lump is ridiculous he had fantastic ball control and dribbling speed, he was far more than a big lump. The same could be applied to Haaland

Must admit I don't really regard a player who was bought as a first teamer was almost certainly being paid a very good first team wage. Had to be dropped part way through the season and replaced by a reserve team keeper as working, though I agree he did a decent job as a back up apart from his achilles leaving us short for a season. I wouldn't really regard him as one of our successes in the transfer market.Bravo did work, okay he didn't work as a number 1 but he was a good number 2 that contributed to a couple of trophies. Also Ederson was the joint most expensive GK depending on how you measured it, I think he was in euro but not pounds, or he was in pounds but not Euros? There was some confusion because Buffon was bought in Lira just before Italy moved to the Euro.
Cancelo is also the most expensive full back.
So yeah, we're not afraid to spend money.

Yaya was a massive unit and I refer to him a big lump in the fondest possible way - which isn’t at all ‘ridiculous’ it’s a term of endearment (my mum, bless her, used to call me a big lump).
If you doubt my intent then you should read back through my posts and my deep appreciation of Yaya as a player shines through very clearply.
Also, I only mentioned Yaya because I was comparing him to Haaland - their physical size (both ‘big lumps’) very much determines the type of game they can play.
