They are slaves to agents because of how they choose to operate, which yes, means they have very little room to negotiate. They know they have to go with the flow

There was a cross in the second half when still 0-0 where the ball was cleared from under the bar by a Palace player with Jesus standing a yard or so away hoping it'd drop to him.

I'm not calling Jesus but that defender would have scored an OG, be on his arse or Haaland would have scored had he been with us.
 
Its a fine line for dortmund. If theyre seen to hold Haaland against his wishes, seemingly after doing similar with Sancho last summer, there will be a tipping point with some future targets/agents that will become sceptical of sending their players to dortmund for such reasonable terms as they’ll feel they’re not playing the same game when selling on.

I’ve no doubt they put that clause into haalands contract next summer in case he does keep exploding in development and to try to force an earlier transfer out

Dortmund are a stepping stone club, they can not afford to disrupt the flow, Sancho over pricing was a big mistake, it would explain why Haaland put in a buy out fee that if he continued to improve would easily command

Are you sure he always bluffs? Do you have evidence of it? The only one I've seen is the Sancho where he said we won't sell for under this price. Ans United never matched it? So he was telling the truth on that part

United did match the offer, but then went back to try and reduce the add ons they had agreed to. other examples are Dembele and Aubameyang

Apparently dembele they said they wouldnt sell till they get 120-150n which they got 100m + add ons up to 150m. And he chucked an absolute fit to get out. I don't recall the Auba one

People seem to have a problem with understanding my posts. You asked “are you sure he always bluffs?” Is that what I said? No. I said “more often than not (...)”. You want one recent example? Dembele
With Sancho, it’s not that they didn’t match it, it’s that it verged on disrespect. And it was a totally different situation and environment - and agent...

No if's but's or maybe's about it. We need this lad. Generational talent who will be a Sergio level impact signing. Give them £150m. Don't fuck about.
 
No way we are going to pay this high price for Haaland, unless we offload and sell some players that can make up his cost. The club will not spend more than 70mn on any player, not going to happen

I think we might wait another year and sign him next year when his buyout clause kicks in but thats only if he wants to join us!
 
I can't see us signing him, Delap being promoted to the first team squad ,looks a very similar type of player. I wouldn't be surprised if we sign someone that is under the radar either from europe or a player like Danny Ings plus Jack Grealish

Delap isn't ready for this current team

Young Liam needs to go & play not sit on the bench playing maybe 10 games sorry cup games

I would go as far as Liam going out to Anderlecht or Girona & then maybe Championship club year 2 before he comes back to City

Delap & Doyle out on loan imo
