Erling Haaland

I honestly don't think Khaldoon and our owner would let a 20 year old walk into the club on anywhere near 400k a week.....just my opinion and could be well off the mark.
Not saying he would never earn that at City btw.
400k a week from day one not a chance, although like Aguero when he first joined, he would be told he would be handsomely rewarded with wage increases if he proved his worth, not forgetting lots of medals.

That well may the reason as to why the Kane story has gathered pace. I have a feeling based on zero evidence Team Haaland are expecting numbers that are very prohibitive to most but someone out there has indicated they will do it.. probably next summer

How it should be,these days,City strike me as a club that may say "it's there, but you gotta earn it".

I guess you must be an oldie like me lol ........today's generation all want everything earn nothing ;)
I don't think that's the case with our club, if a player is interested in money No1 , other clubs pay more, ie the Rags.

Come to us, great chance of titles, and if you prove yourself you will be rewarded extremely well and your family will be taken care of in the best possible way.

Can see us going for Haaland next season after Cavani leaves.
I love it when united fans do this: they try to convince themselves that they are still cock of the walk, even though that ship sailed a decade ago. I remember it happening when Pep was on the market too. It's like they have this desperate hope inside that the Phoenix is about to suddenly rise from the flames and they are going to somehow get "the last word" over their rivals.

Spoiler: it isn't.

If he levels out and scores half what he has this season, and isn't as great as what people think, it will be a right proper fight for his signature next year.....between Villa, West Ham and Everton.

Yep - and that’s the gamble.

Like any young player, there’s the chance their development may level for a while. A decent Manager with the right club set up behind him either backs himself to make the most of the kid’s potential - or you pass, and risk missing out on an exceptional young talent who could set you up for years.

It’s the difference between buying kids and buying established players - the risks are higher, for sure. But so are the rewards if you get it right.

That said, with his agent it’ll never be Villa, Everton, etc - it’ll be Juve or Inter on huge wages if he falls off enough to put the genuine top tier clubs off.

Wages in this case would be about his commercial potential. It’s not really comparable to what we have dealt in the past

He could be huge commercially in the future, but at this time I would not say he is.

He is 20 had a great start to his career but still a long way to go before he can demand 400k week

My guess is he would start at 300-350k/week, which has been talked about in stories

I don't think we would pay him that from the off, maybe 200k plus incentives, then a promise of extension, wages rise, commercial value rights increasing significantly if he was a success.

Yep, doesn't exactly strike me as a player who really wants to join City. Hes one of those "pay me the most and i will join" type of players which City are keen to avoid.

After period of good performances by Haaland, Raiola would go public how Haaland deserves more etc.

Whilst Kane by all accounts is desperate to join City.

I was never convinced that City would sign Haaland.

I see lots of people echoing this 'kane is desperate to join city' latch. Can I politely ask, where the fuck is this coming from?

If it is a rumour of him supposedly telling spurs he he wants to leave, and a rumour from months ago saying he asked Sterling what it's like up north, then im sorry to say, it is horsepoo.

Isn't that the same salary he is on already. I would expect him to demand an increase at the start of his deal.

94% of the voters want us to sign Haaland.
44% of the voters want us to sign Kane.
That’s a landslide for Haaland.
Come on City listen to the fans : )

I genuinely think he'd score 50 goals a season for us in all comps.

He's a goal a game player. He was in Austria, he is in Germany and most importantly he is in the CL.

Surrounded by better players, coached by a better manager, and getting better and better as he gets into his 20's will more than cancel out any difference in difficulty.

I think he’d be a superstar for us and bring the sponsorship along with that.
He’s obviously a goal scorer but he’s also big, strong, quick and most importantly young.
Made for the premier league that lad.
