i can see him ending up at somewhere like Madrid...despite the financial state of the game over there and esp of Madrid and Barca...they seem to find the money and get away with being 100's millions in debt......while still managing to out bid others for players and even try and take ours (or at least seemingly be trying to)

Aren't they getting Mbappe on a free in the summer who will be on huge wages 500k+ most likely AND they have Benzema who's currently the top goal scorer in La Liga. Why on Earth do they need Haaland as well?

If we don't get Erling after failing to land Kane I despair.

They are not cash strapped, they can afford both of them with mbappe will be free and 200 milion supposed PSG mbappe transfer money can be put to Halland signing. they can also get rid high wages like Bale, Marcelo, Hazard probably more to make a room for their wages.

The league doesn't distribute tv rights monies the same way anymore no? I'm not expert on it but they must approach the financials differently or else see barca.

While Covid-19 does affect Real Madrid in term of financial loss, it's not as worse like Barcelona currently they have right now. Bartolomeu did monumental f*ckjob that lead Barca to financial ruins while Perez as much i despise that man did better job and very good at it. Under his leadership particulary because the effect of three peat Champions League winning streak, Real Madrid revenue is the biggest in their entire history and their brand is so strong many company lining up offering obscene amount of money just a chance to be associated with Real Madrid.

Real Madrid once Covid-19 economic impact is lessened and their fans starting attended their stadium regularly they will recover much quicker compared Barcelona that have many problem not just Covid-19.
 
When are the people talking about Madrid going to let it go, lol? That club itself has made it clear they are not in for him
 
So far just seems to be a lot of journalists around Europe chancing their arms by linking us with haaland. we are undeniably the most logical choice on paper but until the likes of Blackburn, gaughan, ducker etc start reporting our interest I refuse to get excited.
 
Haaland is not really going to give any indication of where he is wanting to go, or it will be some negotiation tactic.

Either to entice Real or scare others into acting.

Rest assured we’re in as good place as anyone at this moment to get this deal done (which unfortunately probably more against then for).

However, I’d be absolutely amazed if any deal was done quickly or behind the back of any clubs. It will most likely be done middle of the summer window and every club will believe they are in the running and eventually he will choose one.

Whether his prime motivation is money (lazy observation for me). I think he will choose the club he wants but rest assured he will ensure that club are paying the maximum amount they are willing to.

I see us, PSG, Real and Chelsea. It will be one of those 4. I believe we have more going for us then any of the others (but I have blue tinted specs on and it is entirely plausible any of these teams getting him).

If he signs on for another year like german journos are saying then I think that spells bad news and the rumors of him waiting for Madrid to sign him are likely true.

But the Mirror says he’s going to the rags if/when they get an interim manager even though they will shortly be getting a different permanent manager :)

I've been saying for ages that Haaland will go to the rags for daft wages, then move to Real after about 4 or 5 years in a Ronaldo style blaze of glory.

I really don't see any way that City will shatter the wage scales etc to accommodate him.
