We need the team to start off like a side possessed to get the fans going, otherwise it's a hard slog and the enthusiasm starts to wain. I'm expecting no difference in the atmosphere tomorrow than on Wednesday night, bar the first ten mins or soWe can be as loud as anybody when things are going our way and we're winning. We've been getting progressively worse with regards to requiring the players to do something to gee the fans up rather than the other way around though.
Tomorrow needs to be loud from the off and sustained no matter what happens on the pitch, if they take the lead, we need to be even louder to spur them on to get back into it. Home advantage only counts when we make it count.
Anybody that can't get themselves up for tomorrow and make some noise needs to reevaluate their decision to watch football live.
Atmosphere will be just fine tomorrow against the Dippers , it has been the last few occasions they have turned up at the Etihad , our crowd is no different from other grounds , ive been to Klanfield on corporate do's and witnessed Sheff Utd ,Sunderland and Palace fans out sing the Dippers for 90 minutes ,but in the big games the atmosphere takes care of itself.
The only time the Dippers get up for a game is when a team from Manchester turns up or their derby game against Everton , the rest of the time apart from the odd european game their atmosphere is shite.
The famous Klanfield atmosphere is a myth for 90% of their games , but it doesnt suit the narrative , "this means more" what a f*cking laugh.
On a night like last night, if "Blue Moon", "Best Team in the land", "Championes" and "Hey Jude" had been sung in the firsst five minutes they spread around and it sets the tone. The occasional singers feel more comfortble to sing. It's crowd psychology.
Last night the very first song sung was "We never win at home", the second was "Empty Seats" and the third was the Rube Dias song. They won't get the crowd or team going.
It was just a "bad night at the office" for atmosphere for lots of reasons. The Madrid fans were loud. Nobody sang Blue Moon until the second half at an exact point when we were looking dangerous so people were roaring the team on. Literally every time that an opportune moment for a rousing song came the clapping songs would invariably start. The Dzeko song was sung three times on the trot.
Sunday will be different league early and if the game goes well but if it goes badly early on it could be awful, one of those stunned into silence atmospheres where the opposition fans are having a party. On the other hand if we get a goal or two the roof will be coming off.
Absolutely true Mr Grimblesboots, they have a lower average attendance than us, a lower average seat occupancy than us and a lower average decibel than us.Atmosphere will be just fine tomorrow against the Dippers , it has been the last few occasions they have turned up at the Etihad , our crowd is no different from other grounds , ive been to Klanfield on corporate do's and witnessed Sheff Utd ,Sunderland and Palace fans out sing the Dippers for 90 minutes ,but in the big games the atmosphere takes care of itself.

Perfectly summed up.Absolutely true Mr Grimblesboots, they have a lower average attendance than us, a lower average seat occupancy than us and a lower average decibel than us.
They have less supporters / they fill a lower percentage of seats / they’re quieter than us on average. All factual.
We are their ultimate cup final whenever they play us so, of course, they get noisy.
Playing us is them playing against the current Premier League leaders and the current Champions of England.
We’ve dominated English football for a decade now and they’ve mostly lived in our shadow, we are the reason that they’ve not had the success they feel they deserved so whenever they play us it’s massive for them.
We live inside their heads free of charge 24/7/365
Screw being a scouser in SSL1 tomorrow. It’ll be a proper hostile experience for them.Kick some scousers then, is that what Pep's saying, lol
