Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

Someone tell Jack that it's not always at 75 Mins, sometimes it's on 80 mins.
 
Gotta say and as much as I hate them the Spurs fans made a lot of noise last week. Used to be the same in the old ground as well.
 
After 18 months it was an absolute delight to see so many fans back and I'm sure the atmosphere did great stuff for the players.


No offence but the fact so many of you are coming out of the woodwork to complain already, after a brilliant performance is disappointing. So what if it wasn't perfect? The most important thing is that there are blues there to support the team one way or another and I'm sure the team feels the love.

And if it really bothers you, try come up with a solution. Can't be that difficult surely, and once it gets put into place then you'll all be happy again.

I understand your point. Still, very loud from most parts of the ground. Don’t know what it’s like there week in, week out, but at our place that’s very much the exception rather than the rule.
 
Was pretty shocked at just how many people were leaving on 75-80 minutes. You’ve not been at City for a year and yet it seems like you can’t wait to get away. i get that there are mitigating factors, and something needs to be done about the transport situation around the ground- but this is something of a special occasion.

Before the embarrassing exodus, I thought the atmosphere was really good, but I’m 111 so can’t really gauge the general level of noise. Mainly it was just really nice to chat to people I haven’t seen for more than a year. Was quite emotional really.

I moved to 109 about 5 seasons back and it’s got a good vibe in there with a decent mix of age groups.
Was good in there today, although after 18 months of watching on the TV, shouting for 90 mins put a bit of a strain on the old vocal chords.
 
Suffered in the Citizens today, with the prawn sandwich brigade - over an hour to get into Orange Parking from Just by the Mercedes Garage - but, why the hell they only come out 10 mins after the second half and then scamper back in for the eccles cakes with 10 ins to go continues to mystify me - as I am normally sat opposite in my seat in CB Level 3, but to be among them today - terrible experience - not a peep all game. I though the Southstand were in mighty fine form - but like others have said, we need a few new songs and it would be nice if other parts of the ground joined in once in a while. My top complaint over the years - especially away - is when the players vanish off the pitch without any acknowledgement for the fans - and today - I saw Rodri make them all do a semi-lap - just ashamed that there were only two of us left in the Citizens seating block to clap...

There big stand behind the goal helps a lot with atmosphere hopefully we can do the same thing when they start to do work on the north stand

Didn’t they get called out for playing it over there tannoy system to generate atmosphere
 
The atmosphere was great today I'm not sure what people want. I'm in SS level one and more people were singing than usual. It went a bit quiet at 2-0 as Norwich were just in damage limitation mode and we were happy to keep possession and be patient and probe for more goals.

I'm trying to think of any ground in this country where fans sing all game and I can't. Palace have that corner where they've created a kind of ultra section but that's about it.

We are usually so good these days that we watch the football and probably don't think we need to urge them on too much like we did when we weren't so good. It is what it is and like people leaving early will never change so people need to stop moaning. I didn't see that many going early either. I understand why some do that as well. If you're on public transport leaving a few minutes early can be the difference between catching an ongoing connection or being stuck usually in the cold and rain waiting an hour for your bus home. No fun I can assure you.

I had another two a few years ago in front of me that used to leave between 55-70 minutes every game. They used to turn up 15 minutes late to. Fair enough, it’s their choice and money, but to me, it’s a pointless day out and hobby.

It's ridiculous. It's become a habit with them. My whole row is gone by final whistle which is great as I get out really quickly!
 
The infrastructure really needs sorting out around the ground otherwise it’s not going to deter early leavers, and after the game yesterday the traffic was horrendous and the buses and trams are a joke, if you don’t get out sharpish you have no chance, why aren’t they backed up and given priority route out of the ground?? Really needs sorting.

thought the atmosphere was ok in the ground, south stand l1 were good throughout but that was it.
