I'm not saying the style of support is either good or bad. I know it's very contentious amongst our fanbase. But if you have 5/10 mins, watch this video of the game last night and the fan engagement around the stadium in Dortmund.
The vlogger is sitting in the equivalent of ESL2 on the halfway line. Look at the demographic of fans there. Look how engaged they are, what they are wearing, and how noisy they are. That's what we lack. If people in all four stands participated more frequently, we would have a great atmosphere.
And before people talk about drums and types of songs, I don't mean that in isolation. I mean whistling, booing, shouting, clapping, waving scarves etc.
The only way that we can improve on that is to just do it. If you're in a quiet section of the ground, do your bit to make it more noisey. Until that happens there are always going to be debates about which musical instrument should be brought in to resolve our issues.
