Etihad Atmosphere - 2022/23

I’m not mistaken. It’s proven, it happens.

People around the stadium never join in with:
Empty Seats at Home
Follow follow follow
Ruben Dias
Gerrard Slipped
etc.etc.

Yet you yourself posted that the only time the stadium got involved in the atmosphere last night is when Blue Moon, Come On City and TBTITLAWTW got going.

All of these songs were participated around the stadium in the second half against Fulham on Saturday:
Blue Moon
Oh City We Love You
City, From Maine Road
Ark Now Hear The City Sing
City, City, TBTITLAATW
We’re Not Really Here
Come on City
Ci-ty Ci-ty Ci-ty Ci-ty

Saturday couldn’t have made it more clear to me.
See my reply to Dave.

This is getting silly now.

Do you seriously want us to stop singing the Ruben Dias chant because it doesn't get the rest of the ground going? What about all the other player chants? Do we stop singing their chants as well because the rest of the ground don't join in.

Blue Moon
Oh City We Love You
City, From Maine Road
Ark Now Hear The City Sing
City, City, TBTITLAATW
We’re Not Really Here
Come on City
Ci-ty Ci-ty Ci-ty Ci-ty

And where do most if not all of those chants normally start? In the South Stand.

Yes, we're going around in ever decreasing circles.

Here's an idea Dave. Why don't you and others move to SSL1 for the Liverpool game. Come and join us. Start the chants off you want to hear being sung. I'll join in. If those chants do make a difference and get the whole stadium singing more, I'll give you the credit you deserve.(on here)
Haha. No chance mate. I’ve paid my dues singing songs home and away but I sit in the good seats now and shout and roar and join in when a song spreads round. Don’t be spiky, I can still contribute to the discussion and I think a more “neutral” viewpoint from the other side of the stadium is beneficial.

My lads went in the south stand last night actually and loved it so they can do it for me. Interestingly, they said they couldn’t hear the Chelsea fans but I could hear them loud and clear from 328.

Whatever we do, don't give the scouse vermin the whole of SS3. We need SS3 ourselves in that game
They will have it, don’t worry, unless both clubs make a stance on the back of the recent tensions. Am I right in remembering that happening at both grounds in a recent two-legger with United? I think I might be

This is so evident when you come on bluemoon after the match.

Every one in SS1 logs on and starts raving about how amazing the atmosphere was and how we outsang the Chavs

Everyone who sits in the rest of the ground logs on and starts moaning about how we were outsang by the Chavs.

No one in SS1 can complain about the rest of the ground joining in when all you can come up with is Follow follow and empty seats at home
Absolute bullshite, just join 8n with the songs instead of fucking moaning about the atmosphere !!!

Because you keep singing your clapalongs. In your defence I think that’s because you can’t even hear each other unless you clap because you have no roof.

I suspect this problem got worse after the stand was extended and the roof lifted. Thank god for for the south stand upper tier in the big matches.
You're talking shit mate

seems to me there's a lot of bickering about songs, and what people should and shouldnt be singing. Doesn't it more boil down to the fact that people are just sat tight lipped in large parts of the stadium, why arent they joining in? even with classics? what's causing that shyness?

if parts of the ground want to sing classics plus some new ones perhaps much less people know, that's fine isnt it? the rest of the ground can whip up their own atmosphere with Blue Moon or some such. I dont get this obsession with one thing being fit for all.
