Etihad Atmosphere - 2022/23

ESL1 got it going a bit last night but I never hear it from the singing section anymore.

Oh City We Love You
Oh Man City, The Only Football Team To Come From Manchester
City, We’re From Manchester
(Go West)
We’re The Pride Of Manchester
Na na na na na na na na City
(Hey Jude)
City ’Til I Die
We All Follow Man City, Over Land And Sea
You are my City, my only City

…plus many many more

It’s like they never existed and they’re so much better than some of the regular chats that get sung now like United’s ‘If I Die On Kippax Street’.

Honestly, bring those back and they’d be big chants again.
It’s a shame. Some good songs we had that don’t air anymore apart from the dreary bluemoon which I hate with a depressing passion. It’s bloody awful and very depressing

Just watched Thogden's latest video. If you don't know who he is he spends his time travelling UK and Europe watching football matches and giving an insight of the places he goes to. Him and his Dad have a soft spot for City and are always eager to point out we have a local core support unlike some other clubs so am happy to give his videos a watch. Anyway, in his last video he visited Rotterdam to watch Feyenoord vs Roma and explained there had been tensions between the two clubs so Feyenoord fans were on a tightrope if they let off any flares/pyros etc. Skip to around 4.40, you'll see the Feyenoord fans throw up hundreds of inflatables and it looks great. I was thinking towards the end of this season it would be great if we could get our banana craze going again. Starting at Wembley next week is a good opportunity.

Loved the banana days, strangely we seem to never get any credit for it.

I've just remembered the rags tried to copy it with black/red tridents in their dark poorly lit ground....nobody could see the fuckers.

Pretty poor today, although my ears have been blocked since Thursday so will happily be corrected.

Got quite lively for a 15 minute spell in the 2nd half which was nice to see.

The truth is the lads didn't need us to be on our game today, against Arsenal the place will be deafening. Up the Blues!

I thought it was pretty decent considering there was more or less no jeopardy

Really? I thought it was jumping for that period you mention, fair doos to Kippax corner for getting it rocking till their goal killed it off a little. I’m over in 130 and felt the roar from SS3 when it really got going, so well done to those up there. It would of been really easy to sit back & relax 3-0 up

South stand were very quiet today. The east stand corner did a good job. The Poznan was as bad as the 2nd half. Seemed to be done block by block
Yep we did give it a go in 109 today and made a point of the South stand not singing with a bit of banter. Don’t think the match lent itself to a really raucous atmosphere though.

I agree with you, but I do think for the rest of the game apart from the goals and that 15 minutes it was like a morgue.

My main point though is that it doesn't matter cause there was no jeopardy at all on the pitch, we all know that when the team needs us to be there we'll be there.

Really excited for Arsenal now, its gonna be electric. Seen a few arsenal fans posting about how we have no atmosphere, they really are gonna shit themselves next Wednesday when it's like a cauldron.

I thought the first half was quite good actually and the irony of the Leicester fans singing 'football in a library' just before half time when they hadn't sung ANYTHING until then was absolutely ridiculous. Some of their fans were leaving after 13 mins and others at 25. They were shit and rather irritating.

Second half was poor a bit like the performance. Picked up now and again but the game was already won.
