Etihad Atmosphere - 2022/23

A good 10 minutes give or take.

The youth go there at half-time. It's pretty much their spot now.

I won't knock them either. Having a good time and keeping the chants going during half-time.

Mobile pictures aren't great. Dark, enhanced, zoomed in, screen grabbed.

Can only be a good thing (even if they only get back to their seats late) obviously it would be better being out there when the game kicks off, but I see this as a bit of a replication of an away day and should be encouraged, especially if it leads to an atmosphere like the 20 minutes in the second half, hopefully the new NS gets similar or even better facilities and the club should consider giving Kippax corner a similar upgrade

‘The youth’ haha could it get anymore fucking cringeworthy? Well, maybe taking pictures of them takes it to another level.
They’re men, not youths. Youths are 12-17 years olds, they look like they’re all in their 20s.

Very weird atmosphere yesterday.

Really good first half hour, then it was total silence for half an hour while everyone fucked off to the concourse from about 35mins and didn’t bother coming back until about 55mins. Fucking long half time that for some people , 20+2 minutes of footy missed plus 15 mins half time.

Then there were about fifteen minutes of chanting to about 75 minutes and then it was a slow procession to full time with everyone slowly fucking off home leaving about 25,000 there at full time.

I reckon some people missed more of the game than they saw yesterday.

Some big stadium-wide chants at times though. At points it was as loud as we’ve been all season but at others it was easily the quietest.

What is this trend that’s happened to our support where we don’t sing from 30-60 minutes?

Crazy how many people would rather sing in the concourse than support the team on our way to a possible treble

Historically away fans always outsing the home fans , however in recently I have noticed away fans just aren't contributing either, particularly Everton and Leicester both away ends were near silent. Not sure how they have the audacity to sing the library song when both sets are up their with the worse and most quiet set of away fans I have seen

I said this myself a few weeks ago. Barring maybe Forest (with the novelty factor) the away fans have been dreadful in the league all season at the Etihad. Our away support puts all their's to shame from the games I've watched on the television.

I was just thinking Forest myself. Plus Burnley in the Cup and I thought Newcastle fans fans were good… other than that every set of away fans have been poor at the Etihad this season.

Yup, the scouse fans were awful and the Leicester fans weren't much better yesterday.

Great atmosphere yesterday on 70 minutes and it reverberated around the ground.

What is it with midlands teams singing about atmosphere more than their own team. Villa wolves and now Leicester. Fucking wierdos. Wait until a little silence n then sing their shit song
