Leaving early even In 2014
Leaving early even In 2014
Where do you sit mate as I'm in that location
Those near the away fans sang but as has become the norm now they sang the songs that don’t spread. It was just a muffled noise to the rest of the stadium. That new song was sung about 50 times but nobody else knows the words because you can’t hear them.W. People must go to a different game to me or watch it on the telly because for a game we totally controlled we hardly stopped singing. Granted if people were near the Leeds buggers they were bloody loud I'll give them that. That's because their end was jam packed with lads, old heads and young. They have nothing except defiance as they fight the drop. We've been there.
That’s a bit of a sweeping statement. It’s mainly season ticket holders who are leaving early out of habit. It doesn’t happen really in the champions league when season ticket holders don’t attend
As always Dave you can start songs as wellThose near the away fans sang but as has become the norm now they sang the songs that don’t spread. It was just a muffled noise to the rest of the stadium. That new song was sung about 50 times but nobody else knows the words because you can’t hear them.
They sing it because they feel (and were) robbed in their European Cup final with Bayern München.I thought it was that.
Sorry for my ignorance ........ but what at exactly?
They had a capo (not watching game) and a drummer (albeit the drummer was pretty good - rather than a monotonous skin bashing).Similar to the copenhagen fans last year who sang even when they were 6-0 down

And on top of that we get the half time early leavers who yesterday were starting to go for their half time pint after 36 minutes near me.If they are the same ones who leave early they must miss around 30 mins each game !There were some going around the 75 minute mark. I think the Leeds fans spotted them and started singing 'your support is fucking shit'. In any game I think it's poor but given the context of where we are in the season it almost feels like a complacency and entitlement. You're probably watching the greatest team you'll ever see in your life in potentially its greatest ever season. There's thousands of fans being priced out of going and witnessing this and you're that indifferent about seeing the lads secure the 3 points you'd rather head home.
Let's be honest, Leeds didn't pose any real threat going forward but I don't believe it would have made a shite of difference and they'd have left anyway. I think we are too hard on ourselves with regards to atmosphere but the early leaver syndrome is harder to defend.
