Etihad Atmosphere - 2022/23

With nearly 8000 Gooners coming it’s going to seem like a home game for their team. Their fans have seemingly found their voices this season, they’ll be making plenty of noise. It’s for top games like this why we need a proper singing section. Hopefully we’ll see the fans coming out of their shell and comfort zone and give plenty of support for Pep and the team.
We're capable of out-voicing the best of them. The home advantage is supposed to be just that.

Friday night under the floodlights. Not the worst day choice, but certainly adds the possibility of a grumpy weekend before it's even begun. PEP&CO have a huge chance to get the crowd going. A statement here could instill belief.

Rile them up by showing the Adebayor goal over and over before the game. 45,000 blues there to out sing them, should be a cracker on Friday.

Make sure you shout loud from your armchair thousands of miles away.

Hate to be the harbinger of doom but it's these games where our atmosphere never takes off properly because the away fans have a roof above them whereas our singing areas have an open space filled by the away fans' noise. The only way there will be a decent atmosphere is if fans in the non-singing parts of our ground are up for it and make a racket.

We have to go 2 - 0 down first before we wake up...ha

still wont be as good as when on a tuesday night 7,000 blues went to the emirates for the league cup. Won one nil with a later second half goal. We had the whole end behind the goals lower tier and did a cracking poznan !

It's very odd indeed. Those arriving late to their seats for kick off, those leaving for the 30 minute pint, those arriving late for the second half and those leaving early before full time or a combination of the lot. Don't get their indifference they can't be that interested in the football. The tourists get moaned about on here but I don't think they are the one's doing it.
Makes you wonder why they come. I guess it gets them out of the house for a couple of hours. If you can't endure 90 mins of watching a game especially this City team then you've either got money to burn or you just don't love football that much.

Looking forward to hearing Edin Dzeko booming out of CBL3

Wouldn’t you just love to be in the middle of that? :-)

Raja Club Athletic FC - Casablanca

Close up of the drummers - Curva South (and the noise without a roof on the stand)

Everyone clapping. Then bouncing up and down.

All of the Curva South - same chant

Very impressive. Seems to be more 'organic' than most European ultras. Thanks for sharing.

Your psychology is weird. Someone else being rewarded doesn’t mean you’re being punished?

If you’re late because of traffic every game then you should set off earlier. If it’s a one off then there’s an opportunity for you to receive rewards every other week? You could also stay till the end and earn a reward?
Mmm
Surely it does if you get a ticket for the next champions league final and I miss out because of 1 late attendance.
It was the first time late at a home game in 50 years of attending.
Have only left before the end once when a relative had died.
