Etihad atmosphere

Need to find some good additional songs, get the 'City' chant going far more especially when we're building up a head of steam or the away fans start. We just have repetitions of the usual songs, nothing much new or rocking. We had a reputation for some great songs but we seem to be losing the knack and desire. Unfortunately I don't see it changing much and if we play Liverpool at Wembley I fear we'll be listening to them for much of the game.....

in 114 against hull every song we have seemed to be sun. we just need to bring them back with everyone joining in. I doubt your last statement we have rocked wembley most times we've been there

If you want to help improve the atmopshere, move to 115 and get involved with 1894 group. Always looking for more help and the more singers we get in the southstand the better!

There are ALWAYS songs going off in 115, the big problem we are facing is the lack of people joining in! Theres only one way to improve the atmosphere - SING!

+1 :-)

Right... I've been in 111/112 for a number of years, involved with the 1894 Group and have an active interest in maintaining/improving the atmosphere at City.

On Tuesday I purposely relocated my ticket to the North stand lower tier as I took my Mrs daughter who is 7, and also to observe the atmosphere from a different section.

It was like a fucking morgue.
You could hear a pin drop.
My Mrs daughter (who doesn't go to matches often) even wondered why it was so quiet in there and she's 7yrs old, as she thought you were "supposed to cheer at football"

Just as the match kicked off I shouted out: come on city!
And this was met with many strange looks at myself.
The fully grown men in there just sat down like they were watching it on the fucking telly.

After 5mins I thought: Fuck this!

And we walked around the concourse to 112 (kippax corner)
And stood at my usual seat.

Isabelle absolutely loved the all standing, all singing atmosphere and learnt many new songs (and swear words)
And experienced true football.

So one wonders - why the Fuck do the club attack "The Morgue" in the second half when we're more likely to score and possibly need more motivation?

I doubt the club will move the away fans due to were the coaches are located (at the back of SS)

So I highly suggest that if or when the North Stand is expanded, the club move all the families into the SS and the singing sections into the NS.
This will keep the away fans quiet as they will be sat next to the kids playing in their Nintendo Wii's whilst Daddy eats his chips and all the singer's can go in the end which is attacked during the second half by city..... Plus the benefit of not being devided by the away fans section.

I've been saying all season (including more than once on BM) that City should attack the South Stand goal in the second half of matches if they can. Somebody tell VK please !
