Etihad atmosphere

I thought so too, especially the second half.

We even started 3 chants - that must be a record for the family stand!
I've been the biggest critic of the Family Stand. But fair fucks today, you were stood up and you were loud! Shows what a full end can do, that. Imagine a full end of constant noise makers.

I noticed something today that i think we have lost which is a massive shame.

When Guardiola fell over, there was hardly any reaction from the crowd, hardly any "wheyyyyyyy" or laughing. Maybe it was because we were losing but in the past whatever the result at the time we have always been able to laugh at ourselves at certain moments.

I think that sort of fun has gone from City and that is contributing to the atmosphere being so poor. It all seems too serious now.

Not only that but i also think the commercialisation of the whole club ranks with a large majority of our support. I heard many murmurs when that stupid robot was unveiled on the centre circle flag, what the fuck is that all about?

There were plenty of cheers around me when pep fell and he took it in good jest also.

Couldn't see what was on the centre circle flag but that's ridiculous if it was a robot.

So the game had sold out weeks ago, had it?

So why were there numerous seats all over the ground, plus rows of seats next to each other, especially in the lower tier of the East stand empty?(watching the game on TV after the match)

I'm not buying that many season ticket holders couldn't be arsed turning up. Impossible.

This was one of the biggest matches of the season.

And why are the club stating sold on the OS weeks in advance of the match, when it clearly wasn't.

There must have been 100's, if not 1000's of City fans who wanted to go, but couldn't get a ticket.

So what's going on at the club, the ticket office, and amongst these City fans who apparently don't turn up for the matches?

Yeah, I can understand odd seats being empty but rows of 4 or 5? Something not right there

Despite the obvious better atmosphere today, it's absolutely right that these issues are being pointed out.

Where there was an empty seat today there appeared to be 2 or 3 either side of it, another few in front and a few behind.

It can't be coincidence that ST holders who decided not to turn up all happened to sit next to each other, and there were too many close together to account for possibly families who couldn't make it etc.

So what the fucks went on? Why were arses not in these seats?

Could definitely sense it lifting a few gears in the second half. I can only gauge it through the tv but you could absolutely feel it. There's life in the old girl yet :)

Thanks again to everyone for their variety of detailed responses in this thread.
