Etihad atmosphere

Was in ssl yesterday and if KDB wanted to lift the mood he should try to win the odd 50/50 that will get the fans on their feet much better than just waving his arms at them.
The crowd is exactly what the club and lots of the fans wanted and getting rid of the drunken blokes who swore alot maybe wasn"t such a good idea after all?

This is where Pep and the players need to be careful when complaining about the atmosphere and fans not getting behind the team because the club is certainly to blame in part by going the way of reaching out the tourists/JCLs, etc. I've no issue with that in a business sense but they're also alienating the hardcore fanbase. Some may argue that that isn't the case because they've provided thousands of cheap season tickets in the expanded 3rd tier of the South Stand which have been taken up by virtually all our long-standing fans but at the same time they're pissing on those people due to the disgraceful stewarding up there which is preventing any kind of atmosphere being generated in SS3.

I would add that this isn't the sole reason for some of the shit atmospheres we get at home games though - in the singing section yesterday, there were only about 20 or 30 of us trying to get things going for much of the first half and it was hard work trying to get any more than that to join in. It actually only improved after the sending off and the second half atmosphere was a lot better but this was Burnley we were playing - a match where traditionally the fans have been up for it down the years.

Talking about the home atmosphere on here you clown. I wasn't slagging off Tourists at all at Liverpool was saying at away games its Idiots or Tourists no happy medium.

You are probably the non singing moaning leave early fan.

No, you weren't slagging off the tourists at Liverpool - you were slagging off the fans that dared criticise the policy of allowing them to get tickets ahead of long-standing fans with thousands of loyalty points. Obviously you think there's fuck all wrong with our hardcore support being denied the chance of getting a ticket for high profile away games.

As for your last line, give your head a fucking wobble you weapon.

I was at Anfield and there is a difference.

The whole of Anfield get's behind the team, and not just one or two small sections that do at the Etihad.
Saying that, Liverpool have 26,000 fans in a single tier behind one goal, which in itself is enough to get the rest of the ground going.
We have a singinng section in one block, and even in there, there are roughly 20-30 fans continually trying to create an atmosphere.
In comparison we don't stand a chance.
What I will say in our defence is that when there is a good atmosphere at the Etihad, ie Arsenal at home, the Etihad and our fans are a match for any club and their fans.
Unfortunately Arsenal-esc atmosphere's are few and far between at City ATM.
The Kop holds 12390

But it's still immensely better than the 2000 odd we have available for vocal fans, right next to the away fans. As I've said I reckon, for size of stadium, we have the smallest vocal section in the history of world football!

There were nowhere near that many early leavers against Arsenal - Pep himself made a point of thanking the fans for staying for a change - and I can only think you're getting mixed up with the Watford game a few days earlier.
Me and the lads around me started singing "we're Man City, we stay 'til the end" at the leavers that day (unless Christmas and NY have made me get games mixed up!)

It's great to see plenty of us see the lack of atmosphere and want it to improve, being halfway down 115 it p**ses me off that there's times no-one around me joins in when I hear blues at the back singing, we're a singing section FFS. Yesterday was a new low when someone in front of me who spent the whole game slagging every player and Pep off had a go at me for singing (in the singing section) I think if those of us who love a sing and love cheering the lads on no matter want should bunch together.

More so I don't crack someone at some point.

It's getting beyond a joke now and that truly is shocking mate. Getting moaned at for singing in the singing section is as laughable as it gets. Equally as bad was the daft woman in there the other week who reported the "Oh Manchester is wonderful" chant for being sexist and was telling anyone and everyone that it's offensive to women. Fucking hell, I know plenty of women that have joined in with that one down the years.

I said I would rather have a tourist than a di*khead fan loyal or not what is wrong with that. As you will see the thread is called Etihad Atmosphere which I was commenting on about the drum.

Look if you don't like the idea just say so and do one fucking earlier from the game you tool, or better still don't come you probably don't anyway.

Bwahahahaha! Tell you what ten men, why don't you come over to 115 at the next home game for a chat - I'll be on the concourse a good 45 minutes before kick-off. PM me your number and I'll have a pint with you.

As for your first line, you made an utter twat of yourself on that thread and you got rightfully called out by jrb who fucking demolished you. You actually slagged off our fans who dare drink and fucking sing. Jesus wept.
