I disagree, i think alcohol has a direct correlation to atmosphereDrinking doesn’t help our atmosphere at midweek domestic fixtures and is probably just another excuse by the 95% + of the ground who just can’t be arsed trying to improve the atmosphere by actually singing.
I agree though that UEFA rules on booze, and the prevention of safe standing and even allowing drink in the stands in the PL are annoyingly backward. I’d like to think that clubs have a say in this and if they were really bothered, would put some pressure on the rule makers. Maybe then we could see some progress, which would really make a difference to the so called match day experience.
With good reason ,it’s Shiite
Funny enough me & my lad always try to get a chant going well before & including the last two games ,it’s become are only retort & sounds lame only my opinion of course .Can’t agree with that. It’s our song and sounds superb when everyone is joining in. The last two games showed that the stadium can generate a great atmosphere. We just need more people coming with the attitude that they are going to be the 12th man!
I think City were put in the Kenny Dalglish upper tier at the back. You could see a row of stewards either side of them
I'm out of breath after that bitI like the song but it trails off too quickly. We only seem to sing " Blue moon, you saw me standing alone, without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own " and that is more or less that, or we sing that line again.

Really? Thought it was reasonably subdued - as was to be expected with no pressure whatsoever.I guess we can put the stadium excuses to bed now. We can be the loudest when we want to be. Superb atmosphere yesterday. Need to get this going more often.

Said to my missus that it wasn't a patch on the last 2 home games, as we as fans perform much better when the team is up against it.

You could have invaded nexts doors garden at full time ;)I was watching on TV and first half sounded flat as anything, second half sounded miles better.
I thought the first half was very very flat, i think maybe a knock on effect after the last 2 games. Plus the fact that we have won it already and every was totally relaxed about it. Second half picked up a lot and thought it was a good atmosphere though not a patch on the previous 2 games.Really? My team, Rapid Bucharest, is going to play later this evening away to Steaua. 4th Romanian League. 30.000 away fans (Rapid) expected. I imagine this used to be City. I kind of like this ups and downs of a team. You can t get better atmosphere than a derby in a lower league.
