Cardiff added 5,338 seats taking the capacity to 33,500

Any changes at Premiership grounds for 2014-15?

City must be next, then Spurs and Liverpool. Everton and Chelsea have been talking about new grounds too

The new third tier on the South Stand should look fantastic.

This new one at Cardiff holds 5,338 and is down the side. Ours holds 6,250 and is behind the goal. Should look immense.

According to the councils expansion outline they're planning to replace the blue lights at the top of the spirals.

Most probably figured that out from the night time concept pictures.

Definitely glad about this. When Aguero scored against QPR I just couldn't bring myself to enjoy it as much knowing some of the bulbs would be out later that night leading to an unkept look for the stadium.

The stadium is going to be quite a wonder when it's extended at both ends - and when you think of the dog's breakfast they had made of Maine Road by the time we left it - a testament to incompetence and mismanagement.
We are fortunate indeed these days.

New tier at Cardiff. Red seats look a bit iffy when the rest of the stadium is blue.

deary me, blimey.
The joints between the stands is seemless .!! How to increase capacity as cheaply as possible

That must hurt seeing those red seats. And why expand when you have just been relegated.

I think it likely the decision to extend the stadium was made before Cardiff Were even promoted to the premier league. just can't see that being designed, Sent through planning, procured, tendered and a contractor appointed within a 9month time frame. then it's the gamble: if they stayed up great, increased attendances. if they Went down At least they had the money to pay for it/have a chance of going straight back up 12 months later.

A City fan questioning increasing crowds following relegation?.......

GDM's benign oversight is most reassuring
